Sharky… A very handsome polled buckling that left here on a long term lease as a junior buck. He came back to Old Mountain Farm as a gorgeous mature buck. However, he came back extremely obese and exhibiting very ill manners towards his pen mates and towards us. I strongly believe this was because he was improperly handled and managed while on lease due to the leasee’s inexperience. We have spent many years selecting for mild mannered, easy to live with buck personalities so he could not continue to live here with us. Because we do not want a buck with our herd name that exhibits such poor behavior to be placed in another herd, we chose to euthanize him.
