“Little Buck” was indeed a little buck. I was given the opportunity to purchase him from my friend Coco at Bombahook Acres when she was getting out of goats. She purchased him from PromisedLand when he was a kid. I took on Coco’s herd knowing that I could not keep them all but I didn’t want to let Little Buck go without breeding him to a handful of my does. After he had done that, I found him a home in California. These are the only photos we got of him before he left. He had never been shown and was not cooperative at all when trying to get photos. He could have looked much better in these photos but he insisted on pulling down on the collar to the point of almost passing out. When he was holding his head properly in a natural stance he did not have a U neck. he had a lot going for him conformationally but the thing that really wowed me about him was his natural width between the hocks with very flat bone and his wide open escutcheon. I would describe him as one of those bucks that I truly enjoyed watching walk away from me.
