Percy, being born here was the result of my buying his dam back from the person I had sold her to several years earlier. When I brought her back to our herd she was pregnant having already been bred to one of the former owner’s bucks. Since Percy was not sired by one of my bucks, I sold him as a bottle kid, thinking I would keep a doe kid from his dam at some point in the future. When Percy’s 2Legs found out they were moving out of the country, they offered him back to me but I declined since I had enough bucks and I still had his dam. Well, his dam only kidded one more time for me and had buck/doe twins. the doe was born dead and I sold the buck kid. Later, I was offered Percy again by the people who purchased him from his original 2Legs that had bottle fed him. This time I decided to bring him back to Old Mountain Farm so that I could breed him to a handful of my does. I am glad to be given that opportunity since I love his dam and am looking forward to being able to have grandkids of hers be born here.
