Old Mountain Farm Oliver Again

Photos by: Cheryle Moore-Smith
“Ollie” is my idea of perfection in a buck. I probably should have kept him longer but some nice people came along and so I let them buy him. Often I decide to sell goats because of who the people are, not who/what the goat is. They had him for the rest of his life and have some lovely does sired by him. Ollie was long bodied with a smooth short hair coat, strong brisket, tight elbows, smoothly lain in shoulders, long clean neck, big expressive eyes, strong cheek/jaw line, flat open ribs, nicely shaped head, strong feet and legs, nice rear leg angulation and that lovely wide, long rump that we love. Ollie’s sire was a littermate of our wonderful doe; SG 2M AR NC PromisedLand Nemesis 2*D AR 2383 VEEE 90. Ollie’s dam is a littermate sister to the first Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Doe to receive the high LA score of EEEE 93; SGCH Old Mountain Farm Swift-Leigh. To this date only one other ND doe has tied with Swift-Leigh for that score. We are very happy to have a handful of Ollie’s offspring in our herd.
