Old Mountain Farm MadM Mo Zell

Photos by: Wyl Smith & Cheryle Moore-Smith

Mo is a third freshener in 2020. She is so much like her dam that if her coloring and markings were not slightly different, i would forget which one of them I was with at any given time. She is calm and quiet and gentle. She lacks confidence so she never “shows herself off” as well as I would like when it is photo time. She is long and lean with slender neck, beautiful feminine head, strong brisket, flat open ribbing and straight strong legs. She really is another one of our does that I feel is the epitome of what a “dairy doe” should be. She is a pleasure to milk with her soft creamy skin and ample teats that have large orifices.
In the summer of 2020, I found the perfect home/new 2Leg for Mo. As Mo continues to mature, She is still a dream to milk with large teats, large orifices and is producing LOTS of milk. She has perfect division between the haves of the udder. I am happy with everything about her udder except she really does not have anywhere near enough fore udder. I am hoping that with the 2019 breeding to Bold Elk I will see improvement on that weakness in her progeny. I have had to become very picky since I can not grow my herd any larger than it is. A doe has to really “wow” me in order to stay on here at Old Mountain Farm. There is SO MUCH about this doe that I love. It was a very difficult decision for me and honestly, If the person who is getting her were not involved I probably would not have thought of rehoming Mo. It also helps that I have kept two of her kids here to follow in her hoofsteps.
