Old Mountain Farm JohnQ Public

JohnQ is out of a lovely Fawn daughter named Ceirvo. Ciervo easily became a finished champion as a young doe. She is small and has a wide area of udder attachment with teats that express wonderfully and an udder that is very collapsible. Some really good stuff in JohnQ’s pedigree including his paternal great grand dam; “Old Mountain Farm Ta-Dah!” and his great grand sire; “Old Mountain Farm Oliver Again”. We also can not forget the influence of his sire; Allegiance. Allegiance’s dam was one of my favorites and was the doe living here that had the best will to milk despite her small size. JohnQ is a bit of a peanut compared to a lot of Old Mountain Farm bucks but he is well put together. The more I look at him, the more I like him.
We have a couple of lovely daughters in our herd and there are several others “out there” since our friends at Agape’s Prize took ownership of him when he was younger than weaning age. We bought him back in 2019 so that we could breed him to a few of our does.
If I could find a fault with him it is that he does not have enough rear leg angulation and although he is very wide throughout, he does tend to turn in a bit at the hocks.
